We are the first community radio in Ramechhap district. Hajurko Radio has done a lot for the progress and betterment of Ramechhap district in the field of community works and developmental works. The FM radio was established in 2066 with the objective of promoting peace, human right and good governance registered under the ministry of communication and information. The radio has been further working by its full strength giving priority to the issues of inclusion at local level and thus helping to promote the inclusion at all levels. We believe that ”Prevention is better than cure” so Hajurko Radio is attempting to justify this proverb by airing different awareness raising programs. As an impact of the radio programmes it has been seen, people's participation, transparency, accountability and equal distribution of resources in each sector.

Goal:

We aim to create an ideal society by promoting cooprration, social awareness, peace, human rights and good governance in all sectors by informing the people every time.

Objectives:

5. We disseminate the information relating the development works performed by various sectors in the district
5. We contribute to build up people's opinion for suistainable developmetnt, people participation in their developmental works, clean politics and free and fair election.
5. We strongly contribute to Nepalese tradition, culture and religions by airing the scientific approach to these issues.
5. We create such the radio programes by which we can Promote tourism industry, provide a development forum for the community and encourage participatory community development.
5. We focus ourselves to promote active involvement of underprivileged groups of the district.
5. We always intensify the sharing of information within the community and by which we encourage innovation in community development.
5. Our focus will be to increase the free flow of accurate information within the community.
5. We work hard to improve people’s access to information in local languages.

Station:

The  Radio radio station is located at the  old district headquarter of Ramechhap district. The transmission capacity of radio is 250 watt. The transmission can be heard in almost  all the villages of Ramechhap district and adjoining districts of Ramechhap, Okhaldunga, Siduli, Mahottari, Sarlahi and Kavre by  around nine lakhs people.
